Removal of all things....Icky!

After the boys (AKA Knights in Shining Armor in the making) so kindly brought me the little jewel of a camper, it was time to explore!

The Junker in me was ready to find what treasures where hiding inside.

What I found was that a lot of Icky needed to be removed first...
the contents where a little more Junk Yard than Junk Gypsy!

NOTE THE TWINE AROUND THE HITCH....
THIS IS A COUNTRY BOY FIX THAT SAYS, "HEY MAMMA YOUR GONNA HAVE TO REPLACE THE HITCH BUT WE GOT IT HERE ANYWAYS JUST FOR YOU!"

I needed the "haul it off trailer" moved closer to make the chore a little easier. With no truck at home I once again called on my wonderful son Jayson and his "pretty darn good to me" friends who postponed their 'freedom to roam' and moved the trailer to the side of the camper. (Popsicles or Creamies may or may not have been used for bribery)

With the Icky out, it was time to call in my design help to get a plan together.
My daughter Britney  & I drew out idea after idea after idea and a floor plan was decided on.

The cabinets where not in too bad of shape but they just didn't work with the new floor plan.

It didn't take long and the interior was being peeled away!!!
My personal Muscle Man!
Well the coach told him to workout over the summer :)

I guess after bringing the camper to the house even Jayson got in to helping get it ready for his Gma!
Besides what boy doesn't Love Destruction :)

The Find

The look on her face said that she was seeing what it "Could Be" not what it "Was!"

The look on his face said, "Oh please No?"...lol... He saw a lot of work and a lot of money, and even if he doesn't like to admit it, he is a romantic who doesn't like to let down his sweetheart of 50+ years. So we talked and we dreamed and .... we walked away

It was the find of the year or maybe even more! As a kindred spirit, as Anne of Green Gables would have called the kind of friendship my mother-in-law and I had, I saw what she saw!

My in-laws come here to Wyoming each summer from Florida to spend a few months with us. Those months are my Favorite months of the year. I have come to cherish the time they are here and my least favorite day of each year is the day they leave.

Last summer while they where here we went "Junkin" at a old home. It was going to be torn down and the new owner had told me to help myself to anything I wanted from it... music to my ears. On one of my trips to gather my spoils, she saw it. It was sitting out to the back of the house. Weeds almost 3 feet high around it. Paint chipping and an old homemade wood particleboard door, a broken window & flat tires. It was a sad little thing, but somehow in the memories of her childhood that it brought back to her, it was beautiful!

We didn't get it that day and they some where headed back to Florida for the winter.

Through those cold Wyoming months I couldn't stop thinking about the look she had on her face. So as the snow had melted and the green was coming back into the yard, I used a little bribery on my son and his friends, three teenage boys, teens always want something, right? Usually freedom to roam...
Well they wanted something, I wanted something.... they brought it right to my yard, and the adventure began :)

Long Neglected and Broken and ....... Beautiful!!!
